Armfield Civic Center

Here are a few things happening in October at ACC. 

 

1. Our fitness classes have expanded and we would love for you to try a class in October. As an incentive, when you attend a class during October you will receive a ticket for a drawing at the end of the month. The more classes you attend, the better your chances. What's the prize? A free month of membership! If you bring a guest to a class, you will get an extra entry into the drawing. Come see our great instructors in action and spice up your routine today!

 

2. The Community Parking Lot Sale & Craft Show is scheduled for this Saturday, October 1st. Unfortunately, so is the arrival of the hurricane. The rain date for the event is Saturday, October 8th. A decision to move the event will be made on Wednesday evening. I will let you know asap.

 

3. "No Ordinary Wine" a theatrical presentation that was scheduled at our amphitheatre for Sunday, October 2nd has been moved indoors. This is not an ACC event, but I wanted to let the members know since the cast will be having rehearsals in the gym every evening this week (9-26 - 9-30).

 

4. The replacement pump for the pool that recycles heat from the air and puts it in the water was installed, but is not working properly. We will be firing the boilers this week to regulate our water temperature. I am not sure what day they will be fired,but it will take a few days to move the temperature to 82 degrees.

 

5. The center is still looking to hire lifeguards, fitness instructors, housekeeping help, maintenance help, and a soccer coordinator. Please apply at the front desk if you are interested.
